Public Housing

The Public Housing Program provides low-income families, seniors, persons with disabilities, and others with affordable, safe, sanitary, and decent rental housing. In Carlton County, public housing is available at two sites – one in the City of Cloquet and one in the City of Carlton.

Section 8 / HCV Program

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) is the federal government’s major program for assisting low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.

Families or individual participants are able to find their own housing.

Cloquet/Carlton Housing & Redevelopment Authority offers affordable housing opportunities to eligible individuals in Cloquet, Carlton and Carlton County.
